Biography

Picture
Allister in "Spirit of the Frontier" (2011).
Allister Gall is a film maker, musician and former professional basketball player, born and based in Plymouth, and is the founder of the micro-cinema practice Imperfect Cinema alongside Dan Paolantino. The group organises and promotes free and open cinema to film makers of all ages and backgrounds, and has enjoyed success both locally and internationally, with several visits to and showings in the United States.

He appeared in Wingless Films' 2011 production Spirit of the Frontier, portraying the malevolent Apparition who confronts Cash (Tom Menary) in the heart of an American forest. Imperfect Cinema has screened several films related to Wingless Films, including Menary's Her Voice in 2011, and Desert of Two Devils in February 2012. Coincidentally, Gall's wife, Rachel Gippetti, appeared alongside Menary in Craig Whyte's 2012 film, Hypersleep.

Allister is the vocalist of the garage/punk band Damerels.
